About Me
Hey Y'all
I call beautiful Denver, Colorado my home sweet home. My life has been a remarkable one, I grew up in an upper-middle-class family south of Denver. I was an aspiring ballerina. I danced for almost 13 years, and I still hold ballet close to my heart. My senior year of high school the unthinkable happened, a classmate of mine walking into the school with a shotgun on December 13th. As my classmates and I's lives change forever one life was taken. I went to culinary school majoring in baking and pastry. I worked in various restaurants over three years. I soon lost myself in the grips of anorexia. I dropped out of culinary school 9 weeks before my graduation date. The next day I checked myself into treatment/rehab and my life change. Not only did I find my true self (still working on that) but I made lifelong friends and found a purpose. I was in treatment for almost 3 months. When I got discharged, I had no idea where to go or what to do with my new life. I got a job in a preschool and fell in love. I am currently working on my bachelor's degree in elementary education and special needs. The purpose of this blog is to share my story, share hope, and shine a light on the journey of my recovery.
